Your Study in Vastu
The study is the seat of Saraswati — the goddess of knowledge and learning. Vastu places it in the Northeast, East, or North, where the water element promotes clarity of thought and the morning sun stimulates intellectual energy. The desk should face East or North so that light falls on the work from the left (for right-handed writers) or from behind. Bookshelves go on the South or West wall — the heavy, grounding side of the room. The study door should not face the desk directly, as it creates distraction energy. Green plants in the NE corner enhance concentration. The study is also the ideal Vastu location for a home office, with the same directional rules applying to screen placement, printer positioning, and cable management.
