The North-facing cash register is THE foundational rule of commercial Vastu — more important than any other single placement. Kubera, the divine custodian of wealth, presides over the North. Revenue that flows through a North-facing register enters Kubera's domain and accumulates limitlessly. South-facing registers place transactions under Yama's death-energy. This rule is held unanimously across all 11 traditions, all classical texts, and every modern Vastu consultant without a single dissenting voice.

Traditional consequence: The most commercially destructive Vastu violation. Yama — lord of death and judgment — presides over every transaction. Customers feel anxiety while paying, staff make billing errors, and revenue flows toward decline. Classical texts call this 'Dhana Marana' (wealth death).
Cash register in the SW zone (earth burial)
