Before the first brick — choosing the right piece of earth
About Plot & Site Level
Plot selection is the most consequential Vastu decision because it cannot be changed once made. A square plot is the gold standard — equal energy on all four sides, no missing elemental zones. Rectangular plots up to 1:1.5 ratio are auspicious; beyond 1:2, energy thins to a dangerous degree. L-shaped, T-shaped, and triangular plots all suffer from missing quadrants — entire elemental zones absent from the dwelling's energy grid. Land slope must fall from Southwest to Northeast (mirroring the Himalaya-to-ocean gradient of the Indian subcontinent). Soil quality, proximity to water bodies, temples, burial grounds, and T-junction roads all affect the plot's base energy. This category covers 60 patterns that every buyer should evaluate before purchasing land or selecting an apartment site.

Why It Matters
Plot selection is irreversible — no remedy can compensate for a fundamentally deficient plot shape or orientation
L-shaped and irregular plots are extremely common in Indian cities, and each missing corner has specific elemental consequences
Road positioning (which sides the plot faces roads on) determines energy inflow and is the first thing a Vastu consultant checks
